Beyond the Surface
Lake Garda, Sirmione, Italy. On 19 April 2023, Lake Garda recorded its minimum hydrometric height since 1953 (46.8 cm according to Enti regolatori dei grandi laghi). The drought of the lake was caused by the low winter rainfall and the very little snow accumulated at high altitudes.
