Beyond The Surface
In an attempt to limit the melting of the Rhône glacier, blankets of white thermal material were installed to reflect the sunâs rays. Over time, the glacier continued to retreat despite this human intervention. Today, the front of the glacier is many meters away from some remnants of these blankets that, almost like ghosts, cover isolated blocks of ice.
